Webb to celebrate Day of Languages

Webb will celebrate its first Day of Languages on May 14. The day celebrates not only the diversity of spoken languages at Webb but also the universal languages of art, music and theatre.

Festivities will include a variety of games, activities and exhibits open to students throughout the day, as well as a special Chapel program featuring grade-level competitions and performances by Webb's music and theatre students.

Winners of three ongoing language- and art-related contests will be announced that day. Students should see Monsieur Simpson or Mr. Stem for contest details.

The Day of Languages is funded through the Wilson "Woody" Sims Endowed Chair in Foreign Languages. In addition, the Department of World Languages gratefully acknowledges the creative contributions of students and teachers who have made this day possible.
