Opening for Head of School
The Webb School of Bell Buckle is seeking an effective and enthusiastic Head of School for the 2020-2021 school year. This next Head of Webb should be committed to furthering the mission of the school: "to turn out young people who are tireless workers, and who know how to work effectively; who are accurate scholars; who know the finer points of morals and practice them in their daily living; who are always courteous.”
Founded in 1870, The Webb School is recognized as the oldest, continuously operating boarding school in the South. The Webb School maintains many traditions, and has an environment focused on honor, integrity and character which helps emphasize “The Character of Home” for all faculty and students.
Located just over 50 miles southeast of Nashville, The Webb School is situated on 150 acres of beautifully maintained land in the small town of Bell Buckle, Tennessee. This coed boarding and day school for students in grades 6-12 has a current enrollment of 300.
The next Head of School for Webb will be expected to embrace Webb’s mission and direct a vision that strengthens Webb’s pathway to excellence through academic achievement, increased fundraising and enrollment, and retention of students.
