Founded in 1870, The Webb School is a private boarding school in Bell Buckle, Tenn. Students from grades 6-12 come seeking college preparatory school education in liberal arts at Webb from all over the world. With 10 Rhodes Scholars among its graduates and consistently high SAT scores, The Webb School has a reputation of being one of the top private schools in the nation. The school presently offers 21 Advanced Placement classes. Part-time Counselor

Part-time School Counselor (2-3 days per week)

Job Description: The part-time School Counselor will be responsible for:

 1.) Providing individual, solution-focused brief therapy sessions for students grades 6-12

2.) Teaching 5-6 modules per semester of a Mental Health curriculum as part of a 10th-grade Ethics/Wellness class.

3.) Assisting in faculty training sessions, ie. Suicide prevention, self-harm awareness, trauma-informed care, etc.

4.) Maintaining detailed documentation of sessions in a timely manner.

5.) Assisting in various programming activities such as, but not limited to: Student Peer Mentoring and Leadership, the Merits positive behavior system, Character Education Committee, Health Team, Student Advisory program, etc.

6.) Being knowledgable of local mental health resources and making appropriate referrals as needed.


·       Tennessee License-LPC, LMFT, LCSW

·       Master’s Degree or above in counseling, psychology or social work

·       5+ years of experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic environment and/or school setting is preferred
