The Webb School seeks to fill a maternity leave substitute position for Upper School Math classes.

The position is responsible for two sections of geometry, two sections of honors pre-calculus, and one section of AP Calculus AB. The Webb School has a rotating schedule thus the classes meet at different times each day. For this position, we prefer an engaging teacher who who has experience with problem-based math.

Qualified candidates for this position will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Math, Education, or a related field. The position will begin in mid-February until the end of March (approximately).

Physics Teacher

The Webb School seeks a full time Physics teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. The position will teach three levels of Physics including AP Physics I and AP Physics C.

We seek faculty members who are enthusiastic about all aspects of an independent boarding school community. Full time positions at The Webb School

  • Teach 4 or 5 sections;
  • Work with 8-10 advisees and serve as the family’s point of contact;
  • Coach or work directly with students in other afternoon activities;
  • On occasion serve the boarding community over a weekend.

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Physics (algebra and calculus based) to high school students. For the right candidate, this position may involve living in residential housing and dormitory supervision. Qualified candidates for this position will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Physics, though a Master’s degree in Physics or a related field is preferred.

For this position, we prefer an engaging, experienced teacher who approaches modern language learning with excitement and with an understanding of second language acquisition. The World Language Department at Webb believes in the ACTFL 90% target language use in the classroom.

Qualified candidates for this position will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Second Language Education, or a related field. The position begins contractually on July 31, 2019.
