State competition has been cancelled.
The Webb School's team won the 2020 State High School Mock Trial District II Competition on Feb. 29, with Tiger Wang of Bell Buckle named Best Attorney and Louisa Greenberg of Murfreesboro named Best Witness.
State competition will be in Nashville on March 20-21. The Friday first round begins at 3 p.m. and the second round at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the first round begins at 8:30 a.m. and the second round begins at 11:30 a.m. The awards ceremony is from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. when the two championship contenders will be announced. The final round begins at 5:30 p.m.
Webb's mock trial team will participate in District 11 competition on Feb. 29 at the Williamson County Courthouse in Franklin. Both teams will compete in three rounds. Kathleen Camp, English teacher and attorney, is the team advisor. She is assisted by Jason Simpson, French teacher.
This year's problem is a civil case involving a chicken sandwich battle.
