Continuing the tradition that dates to the early years of The Webb School, students began several days of signing the Honor Books on Aug. 21 in chapel. During the signing ceremony, Faculty Advisor to the Honor Council, Jason Simpson, spoke about the importance of the honor code and the significance of honest work.
Like generations before them, each August, all students and faculty members pledge their word of honor in Chapel by signing the honor books that they will not lie, cheat, or steal. Similarly, students pledge they will be on the proper premise at the proper times.
Students are to write and sign an honor pledge on all tests, quizzes, and projects. Pledging homework is at the teacher’s discretion. The pledge is as follows:
"I pledge my word of honor as a Webb lady/gentleman/citizen that I have neither given nor received any help on this assignment."

Honor Council
Members of the Honor Council were first to sign the honor book. The Honor Council is the oldest student organization on campus dating back to 1914. Honor Council members are responsible not only for upholding the Honor Code through personal example but also for educating the student body in the finer points of honorable behavior.
Students are elected to the Honor Council each year by their classmates. Below are the members of this year's Honor Council:
