A Comprehensive Approach to Student Wellness
At The Webb School, our Health Center is staffed with a dedicated team of nurses available throughout the day and on weekends to support the Webb community. We currently serve students from 25 different countries, each bringing unique cultural perspectives and healthcare needs. With support from our Medical Director, the Health Center is proud to offer our diverse student community a blend of holistic and traditional Western medicine.
Our Medical Director works closely with our team of nurses and our students to help establish a continuity of care, alleviating some of the stress of being away from home. A Residential Nurse is available evenings providing 24-hour support. Our nursing team also collaborates with the athletic department when needed to promote optimum care for our student-athletes.
Our Health Center Provides:
- Promotion of Health and Wellness: By fostering a culture of well-being for students and staff.
- Care for Daily injuries and Illnesses: As we Address immediate health concerns as they arise.
- Health Emergency Preparedness: We ensure that staff are ready and equipped to handle health-related emergencies.
- Clear Communication: Is important in keeping parents and students informed about health concerns and updates.
- Liaison to Community Health Resources:
- Connecting our community with external health services when needed.
- Arrange for Telehealth visits when appropriate.
- Serve as a private area for students to communicate with outside counselors, medical professionals, or anyone else they need to speak to privately.
- Health Education: Offering students the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health.
- Chronic Illness Support: Partnering with students and their parents to create individualized care plans and promote optimal health during their time here at Webb.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Supporting our diverse community by accommodating non traditional with traditional approaches to health and wellness.

Our nurses keep current on evidence based practices through continuing education, nursing retreats, studies, current medical literature and maintaining a strong relationship with our surrounding medical community.
