The Webb Experience
In our enduring understandings, we, The Webb School, embrace the ideas that “Each person has unique gifts and capacities and a responsibility to develop them,” and that “Each person shares the responsibility and honor of serving others.” The Webb School's student-led councils adopt these two profound ideas. We believe that students with the capacity to lead should be selected by their peers to assist in the governance of our school; those chosen should accept this responsibility and strive to serve the school and its constituents accordingly.
Honor Council
The Honor Council is the oldest student organization on campus. Students are elected to the Honor Council annually by their classmates. Honor Council members are responsible not only for upholding the Honor Code through personal example but also for educating the student body in the finer points of honorable behavior. The Honor Council investigates violations of the Honor Code and recommends penalties for offenders to the Head of School.
Student Council
The Student Council's mission is to foster school spirit and community by participating in governance, serving as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration, raising funds for student benefits, and organizing student-driven events. Additionally, they assist other student groups in coordinating their activities to create a vibrant and engaged school environment.
Diversity Council
Our student-led Diversity Council is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and celebrating the diverse voices within our school community. The council plans monthly events that align with global celebrations and important cultural themes, bringing awareness and understanding to various traditions and perspectives. From organizing interactive games for all classes, to decorating our campus, the council is always finding new ways to engage and unite our school. These efforts create a vibrant, supportive environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued.
