Meet the Coaches

Jeff Mitchell joined Webb in 2006-07. He is head boys' basketball, as well as a math instructor. He attended Hanover College in Hanover, Ind. Coach Mitchell and his family live in Wartrace, Tenn., and his son attends Webb, and his daughter is a 2018 graduate.



James Garcia is entering his 19th year of coaching basketball at The Webb School. He served as head middle school boys' basketball coach from 2006-2017. During that time, he led the team to its only Bedford County title in 2008 and reached the MTAC final four, four times in the last six years. Coach Garcia lives on campus with his wife Mallory and three children: Cadence, Asher, and Nolan.

Scott Persichetti joined The Webb School coaching staff in 2016. He is the also head coach for the girls’ varsity lacrosse team. Prior to joining Webb, he was the head coach of a freshman team at William Fremd High School in Illinois and head coach of the Illinois State Lacrosse Club Team. Coach Persichetti holds a bachelor's degree in history-social science education from Illinois State University. A member of the residential community at Webb, Coach Persichetti lives with his dog Riley in Chambliss dormitory. Coach P likes to play lacrosse, golf, and visit family members in Pennsylvania.
