The Webb School Parents' Association (WSPA)
The Webb School Parents' Association (WSPA) serves to facilitate communications between parents, school administration, and the faculty; to provide support for various activities of the school; and to promote and help maintain the school's commitment to academic excellence.
WSPA needs volunteers to serve on various committees – would you be interested?
We look forward to hearing from you!
The 2023 Belles & Buckles Gala
The WSPA is excited to announce that this year’s Belles and Buckles Gala, held on January 27th at the White Dove Barn and hosted by Gina and Jason Reeves, parents of Andrew ‘25, raised more than $110,000!!
We are overcome with joy and gratitude to our Webb community. Thank you to ALL who contributed their time, money, donations, and energy to the success of this event. With your efforts and generosity, we were again able to give our amazing faculty and staff bonuses, rewarding them for their dedication to our school and our children. Those bonuses were given by direct deposit on May 8th to ALL faculty and staff, including full-time, part-time and seasonal employees.
Thank you again to everyone for making our 2023 Gala a huge success! Be on the lookout this summer for the Save-the-Date for our 2024 Gala date.
2022-23 WSPA Volunteer Wine & Cheese Party and Annual General Meeting
THANK YOU from the Webb School Parents’ Association for the tremendous support that our organization has received this school year! As a celebration of all who have assisted the executive committee with their time and donations, we are hosting a Volunteer Wine and Cheese Party before our annual meeting. The festivities will be held on Monday, May 22nd at 5:00pm in the Alumni Center on campus. During this time, the WSPA will present a new award, the WSPA Volunteer of the Year Award, to thank a very well deserving individual who has given substantially of their time and efforts this school year. Please plan to join us in toasting this person and RSVP to carriebtaylor80@hotmail.com by May 17th to let us know if you will be attending the social.
The WSPA annual meeting will follow immediately afterward at 5:30pm. We will report on the year’s programs, including our Back-to-School Bash, Faculty Enrichment Award, Fall Festival, campus decorations, Thankfulness Baskets, Snack Depot, Hot Chocolate Bar, teacher and staff appreciation gifts, and our signature fundraiser to support our faculty bonus program, the Belles and Buckles Gala. We will give a glimpse of the 2023-24 school year schedule, volunteer opportunities, and elect officers. The nominating committee led by Vice President Gina Reeves has requested that current members serve another term, so the submitted slate of officers is as follows: President Ginger Bobo Shofner, Vice-President Gina Reeves, Secretary Carrie Brooke Simmons, and Treasurer Caroline Hulan Smith ‘98. We’re glad to announce that Dr. Tabetha Sullens ‘94, Assistant Head for Student Affairs, will remain as the Administration Liaison to WSPA for 2023-24, and we thank her for the consistent and sound leadership she has provided to us this year.

Uniform Exchange Sale
UNIFORM DROP-OFF DAY
Tuesday, May 23, 8:00am to 2:00pm, Student Center
The WSPA is changing how the Uniform Exchange Sale (UES) operates, switching from a consignment model to a purchasing model. Beginning with our upcoming Uniform Drop-Off Day on May 23, the WSPA will buy your children’s uniforms from you based upon a set price schedule. At Drop-Off, our volunteers will examine your items to verify they qualify for the sale (clean, no stains, rips, or missing buttons, etc.) and will add up what your purchase price will be. If you agree to that price, WSPA will accept your clothing and mail you a check fairly soon afterwards. This change in structure has been a long-term goal of the WSPA, to reduce the amount of labor, money, and time involved in consignment record-keeping. No more waiting for the sale of your items to take place months or years later!
On May 12, 2023, checks are being mailed out to consignors who had clothes sold in this school year’s sales held in August and January. If any of those people also have consigned uniforms that have not yet sold and are still in the UES inventory, their check will also include the purchase price of those remaining items.
For consignors who just have unsold clothes in UES inventory that are valued at less than $10, you will be receiving an email from UES Chairman Jennifer Powers using the WebbSchoolUES@gmail.com address regarding your account. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to her.
As always, if you would prefer to donate your uniforms to put in the sale, the WSPA will gladly accept them! THANK YOU for the support of UES and special thanks to Chairman Jennifer Powers for all her hard work in operating and updating our system.
If you would like to volunteer to help take in those uniforms, just sign-up at the Sign-Up Genius link here: https://www.

Bonuses were recently presented on behalf of Webb School Parents’ Association to faculty and staff during chapel on April 17. Each year, Webb parents show their support and appreciation by donating the funds raised from the proceeds of the Belles and Buckles Gala to provide employee bonuses. WSPA President Denise Ledbetter and other WSPA members were on hand for the presentation.
Belles and Buckles Gala
The WSPA Belles and Buckles Gala is our second largest fundraising effort. Each year, parents, alumni, faculty and staff members gather to celebrate our school’s history and share our excitement for the future. The Belles and Buckles Gala is a Webb tradition, and the main WSPA fundraising event.
