Strength and Conditioning

Where Science Meets Strength

The Webb School’s customized Strength and Conditioning program blends science-based and evidence-backed programming to help each athlete reach peak performance at the right time in their respective season.

Improvement Starts With Measurement

Merging traditional strength training with technology, Webb’s coaches and Strength and Conditioning staff strive to drive forward development.

Evaluating Strength & Speed

Technology helps us track how fast our athletes move during training, helping them build both strength and speed. We also use timing gates to record sprints.

Assessing Performance

Regular assessments show us how well an athlete is prepared and help us rate their overall performance.

UTILIZING TECHNOLOGY

Our weight room includes all the essentials—squat racks, weights, dumbbells, and benches—but it’s also equipped with modern technology. We use iPads to deliver programs, tools to measure bar speed and power output, and systems to track strength, speed and jump performance.

We combine several training methods into a detailed, year-round plan to prepare athletes for competition.

Sprinting

at a maximum effort 2x per week for healthy hamstrings and speed development

Strength Training

tailored to each athlete’s sport, season, position and age

Plyometrics

used to increase the rate of force development

Mobility Work

individualized based on assessments and the needs of each athlete

Webb also offers a mental skills program, allowing athletes to overcome challenges and manage success. Using technology, we will assess, track and modify programming to deliver individualized and optimal workouts for each student-athlete."
