Varsity boys' basketball team loses two games in Hoops Classic

The varsity boys' basketball team lost, 93-77, to Sepulpa, Okla., in its first game at the West Ky. Hoops Classic at Caldwell County High School in Princeton on Dec. 27. In the second game on Dec. 28, the team lost by one point, 83-82, to Hamilton Southeastern.

In the first game, the teams were tied 40-all at the half, but a 28-16 third quarter and 25-21 fourth sealed the game for the opponent.

Webb had three players I double figures – Keon Johnson with 27, J.J. Platt 19 and Jordan Jenkins 17. Henry Moore added 9, Cole Connelly 4, Khi Harris 2 and Sam Hastings 1.

In the second game, Johnson scored 36 points, Platt 20, Moore 12, Connelly 9, Jenkins 3 and Harris 2.

Webb will travel to Battle Ground Academy for a 6 p.m. matchup on Jan. 3 and host Franklin Road Academy at 6 p.m. on Jan. 4.
