The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) has recognized five of Webb's Fall varsity sports teams with its Distinguished Scholastic Achievement Award, highlighting strong performance in the classroom during the first semester of the 2025–26 school year. Boys' golf, boys' cross country, girls' cross country, girls' soccer, and girls' volleyball met the highest standard set by the State's high school athletic association for maintaining an average team GPA of 3.25 or higher during their competitive seasons. The Webb School is the only high school in the Middle Region District 3 to see each of its Fall teams recognized with this distinction by the TSSAA. These student-athletes performed well above the State’s minimum requirement, earning grade point averages that ranged from 3.48 to 3.84.
In addition to its team awards, the TSSAA also recognized individual achievement for athletes who completed the semester with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. In the Fall of 2025, 44 Webb student-athletes reached this mark, including 13 from the girls' soccer team and nine from the volleyball program. In addition, six athletes were recognized from the boys' cross country team, eight from the girls' cross country team, seven from the boys' golf team, and one from the girls' golf program. Of the 44 athletes who received individual recognition, 20 had a GPA of at least 4.0.
“We are proud that all of our Fall athletic teams were able to receive this recognition. It speaks volumes to what our students can accomplish in the classroom as well as on the athletic fields,” said James Garcia, interim director of athletics. “Our faculty does an outstanding job supporting our student-athletes. From teachers to advisors to support staff, there is a shared commitment to helping our students stay on track, even when their schedules demand time away for competition. These results reflect the ability of our student-athletes to maximize their potential in all areas of school life.”
