Your support of The Webb School is greatly appreciated and helps contribute to Webb’s current school year and future success. We offer our donors several ways to make a gift to The Webb School.

The Webb School accepts VISA, Mastercard and Discover cards. Donors may provide credit card information via website, via business reply envelopes they can receive in the mail from The Webb School or by calling Alyce Allen, Director of Advancement Services, at 931-389-5724.

Planned Gifts - Burkhead Legacy Society

One way donors help Webb is by naming the school a beneficiary of assets that they hold until the end of their lifetimes. Known as “Planned Gifts”, these typically involve consideration of future financial plans and input from professional advisers.

The Webb School established The Burkhead Legacy Society to recognize the generosity of alumni, parents and friends who have made provisions for Webb in their estate plans. The School named this Society in honor of Commander Lingurn Burkhead '21, whose bequest in 1993 of more than $1 million made a tremendous impact on the growth and success of the school.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations match their employee’s charitable gifts. Matching gifts allow you to double or even triple your gift to The Webb School. Stock Gifts

Giving gifts of stock could be a way for you to maximize your gift and avoid taxes on capital gains.

How It Works

  • You transfer appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares you have owned for more than one year to The Webb School.
  • The Webb School sells your securities and uses the proceeds for our programs.


  • You receive an immediate income tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities on the date of transfer (even if you originally paid much less for them).
  • You pay no capital gains tax on the transfer when the stock is sold.
  • Giving appreciated stock can be more beneficial than giving cash. The "cost" of your gift is often less than the deduction you gain by making it.

Recurring Gifts


Donors also have the option of making monthly gifts. Instead of making a one-time, larger gift, you have the opportunity to make regular and affordable gifts to The Webb School over time. With recurring gifts, your regular contributions add up, making a lasting impact on The Webb School.
