On Tuesday, October 21, alumni, parents, grandparents and friends of the School gathered in Shelbyville, Tenn., for a reception welcoming Dr. Polly Parker, Webb's 14th Head of School.

Mindee Howard P '25 and Trustee Jeffrey Howard P ’25, parents of Class of 2025 graduate Jax Howard—now a freshman at Middle Tennessee State University—graciously hosted the evening, which drew 66 attendees from across the region. Guests enjoyed reconnecting with one another, sharing Webb memories and hearing directly from Dr. Parker, who reflected on her first several months at Webb and her excitement for the future of our School.

The Shelbyville event marked the fourth in a series of gatherings held throughout Tennessee this academic year to introduce Dr. Parker to members of the Webb community. “The warmth and enthusiasm shown in Shelbyville perfectly captured the spirit of the Webb community,” shared Director of Alumni and Development Jonathon Hawkins P ’21. “Each of these gatherings has offered Dr. Parker a firsthand look at the loyalty and pride that connect Webb families across generations. We’re so thankful to the Howards for opening their home and helping make this evening such a success.”
