The Webb School is pleased to announce the appointment of David McElroy ’86, Akshat Sarvaria ’99, and Rhea Hyatt ’07 to the Alumni Board. The vote was taken at the Board's October meeting, and the appointments were finalized in January.

“Please join me in welcoming these three new members,” said Alumni Board President Caroline Smith Pryor '11. “I’m delighted that David, Akshat, and Rhea have accepted our invitation to join and am excited to work alongside them as we continue to serve our alma mater.”

Meet the New Board Members

David McElroy ’86: A native of Huntsville, Ala., David attended Webb as a boarding student and has a long history of service on the Board of Trustees and the Endowment Investment Committee. A Managing Director at Driehaus Capital Management—including over 30 years of investment experience—David holds degrees from Emory University and Georgia State University.

Akshat Sarvaria ’99: A 15-year veteran of the healthcare industry, Akshat most recently served with the Cigna Group, where he focused on his passion for healthcare cost, access, and quality. After attending Webb in his junior and senior years of high school, he went on to earn a B.S. from New York University and an MBA from Emory University. Akshat returned to Middle Tennessee in 2015 and currently resides in Brentwood with his wife, Seema, and their two sons, Avik and Vir.
 

Rhea Hyatt ’07: Currently the Senior Associate Director of Admissions & Financial Assistance at Foxcroft School, Rhea's career in education began in The Webb School Admissions Office. He is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South, and remains a passionate advocate for the "intentional community" of Bell Buckle. 

Honoring Departing Leadership

As the Alumni Board welcomes new voices, The Webb School also extends its deepest gratitude to four members who concluded their terms in December. Bob Davies '76, Libby Willis '80, Pearson Lien '12, and Jessica Woosley '82 have officially "rolled off" the Board after years of dedicated leadership.

“We are incredibly grateful for the service and dedication that Bob, Libby, Pearson, and Jessica have shown to Webb,” added Caroline. “Their tireless work has left a lasting impact on our alumni programs and the school at large.”
