The Webb School’s Office of Alumni and Development has been recognized with four Best of District III Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), honoring excellence and innovation in educational advancement across the Southeast.
Webb’s winning entries were selected from more than 829 submissions representing 72 institutions in the 2025 Circle of Excellence competition. The School earned recognition in the following categories:
- Annual / Regular Giving Campaigns (Less Than 10 Staff) – "The Big Foot 100"
- Videos: Fundraising and Stewardship (Long) – "The Big Foot 100" Video
- Digital Campaigns (Alumni-oriented) – "Webb Feet in Focus: An Alumni Storytelling Series"
- Videos: Videos on a Shoestring (Fundraising) – "Breaking News: Big Foot Sightings"
“These awards recognize the creativity, teamwork, and strategic focus of our Alumni and Development staff,” said Director of Alumni and Development Jonathon Hawkins P '21. “Our goal is to engage Webb alumni, families, and friends in meaningful ways—and these projects reflect the pride and humor that make Webb’s community so special.”
The Best of District III Awards honored top work from CASE District III institutions from across the southeastern United States. Webb’s recognition highlights its continued leadership in creative fundraising and alumni engagement, especially among small schools.
Earlier this year, The Webb School also earned international recognition in the 2025 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards. This year’s Circle of Excellence Awards drew entries from 640 colleges, universities, and schools across 33 countries, with 4,460 submissions competing across 93 categories in the fields of alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and allied areas. Of the 477 total awards given, only 38 were earned by independent schools, like Webb, making this dual recognition particularly noteworthy.
Webb received Silver in the Videos on a Shoestring (Fundraising) category for “Breaking News: Big Foot Sightings,” and a Bronze award in the Fundraising | Annual / Regular Giving Campaigns (Less Than 10 Staff) category for “The Big Foot 100” campaign.
“We’re proud to see Webb’s work recognized alongside some of the leading independent schools and universities in the region,” Hawkins added. “It’s a testament to what a small but dedicated team can achieve when driven by purpose and connection.”
