The Webb School is pleased to announce the 2024 inductee into the Distinguished Alumni Society as well as this year's John B. Hardin Service Award recipient. 

 The Distinguished Alumni Society recognizes and honors those alumni who demonstrate outstanding leadership beyond the Webb School community. Membership in the Distinguished Alumni Society is awarded by the Alumni Board and the Board of Trustees of The Webb School. Members of the Distinguished Alumni Society include Webb alumni who, through personal commitment, work ethic, and service, have achieved significant success in their professional careers and have made outstanding contributions to their communities, demonstrating Sawney's vision of bringing honor to themselves and to The Webb School.

This year's inductee is Gilbert Gordon '76, of Christiana, Tenn. Gordon is founder, headmaster, and middle school teacher for the Cedar Hall School also located in Christiana. Cedar Hall is a private, independent school for students in grades three through eight founded in 1991. The school was established to give children a place to obtain a full, well-rounded education in a setting of acceptance and love.

The purpose of the John B. Hardin Service Award is to recognize and honor those alumni and members of the community who have consistently contributed an exceptional amount of time and talent to Webb and whose efforts benefit students, enhance campus life and reaffirm the commitment of the Webb community to the school.

This year's recipient is P. Michael Quinn, of Beechgrove, Tenn. Quinn retired from Webb in 2022 after two decades of service as a faculty member in the sciences and, most notably, the arts. Quinn found it difficult to note only a few highlights and enjoyable experiences in his career because there are so many. But, he ranked his participation in 20+ Senior Survivals at the top of a long list.

The induction and award ceremony will be held during the 2024 Alumni Reunion October 26 on the campus of The Webb School.
