Affording Webb

Thanks to the generous support of alumni, families and friends of The Webb
School, $3.5 million in financial aid and scholarships are awarded on an
annual basis.

Financial aid applications have no bearing upon the Admissions
Committee deliberation and assessment of a student’s potential as a
Webb student.
Decisions regarding admission to Webb and financial aid are made independently of one another.

Need-based Financial Aid

The Webb School recognizes that not all of the students interested in attending our School may be able to afford the full cost of a Webb education. The financial aid committee is committed to attracting mission-appropriate students by helping to meet the financial need of families.

Webb, like many independent schools around the country, uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, including assets, income, expenses and debts.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. On average, the application takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You can save your progress and return at any time.

The Early Action deadline for completing the financial aid application, including all relevant supplemental documents, is January 15 for new applicants (January 5 for re-enrolling families). Meanwhile, the Priority Decision deadline is February 1 for new students.

Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship Program

The Tennessee Department of Education recently initiated the Educational Freedom Scholarship Program (EFS). Under the Program, scholarships are available for students attending any private school in Tennessee that has registered for the Program. Webb is a participating school. Any student who is a United States citizen and entitled to attend a Tennessee public school is eligible to apply for an EFS scholarship. 50% of the scholarships will be awarded based on demonstrated financial need. The other 50% is available to eligible students without regard to financial need. Additional information about the Program and application process are available at https://www.tn.gov/education/efs.html.

The Webb School Legacy Scholarship

Webb offers Legacy Scholarships to students who have a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle who attended The Webb School. Legacy Scholarships are available to qualified applicants with a Webb connection, and these scholarships are awarded each year the student attends the school.
