Webb understands that international students, thousands of miles from home, need additional support. Daiva Berzinskas, our International Program Director, is the first resource for international students on campus. In addition to teaching ELL classes, a few of the program director’s responsibilities include the coordination of special trips for international students, planning homestays during school breaks, and arranging TOEFL registration and transportation. Moreover, the program director is an invaluable resource for students who have special needs or who may have difficulty transitioning to life at Webb.
Webb offers an ELL program for international students who are not yet ready to take all of Webb’s mainstream courses. ELL includes classes in English conversation, vocabulary, grammar, composition, and literature. International students are placed either in the intermediate or the advanced level according to their ability.
ELL Admission Placement Guidelines 2018
International students attend The Webb School on a F-1 visa. An I-20 will be issued to a student once the student has been accepted by our admissions committee and has signed the enrollment contract and paid the initial deposit. International students will need to provide this I-20, all acceptance paperwork, and financial evidence that your family can pay the required tuition and fees when interviewing for your visa. The U.S. State Department provides more information about preparing for a visa interview. We encourage you to contact the U.S. consulate to schedule a visa interview as soon as you are accepted and to make sure you have all necessary information.
One of the many advantages of attending The Webb School is the personalized attention students will experience when working with College Counseling. Below is a list of college acceptances for our international students in the Class of 2019.
