WSPA Hosts the 2025 Belles & Buckles Gala
Dave Trout

The Webb School Community gathered on February 1st for the 2025 Belles and Buckles Gala, hosted at the Stones River Country Club in Murfreesboro. This festive night of celebration brought together Webb parents, alumni, faculty, staff, board of trustees members, and friends of the school. The event is organized by the Webb School Parents' Association and is the WSPA's main annual fundraiser.

Much of the fundraising happened during a live auction at the gala - which was headlined by a crowd-pleasing chocolate pie made by Dorothy Elkins, who is in her 68th year of service at The Webb School. Other packages included a vacation cottage near the Atlantic Ocean, tickets to the Men's US Open, and a catered private dinner for 10 people - among other wonderful packages. Dozens of other items were auctioned in a silent auction at the venue and a multi-day online auction. 50% of proceeds benefit Webb's faculty and staff and 50% went to a special campus improvement project - which this year is the addition of two year-round permanent outdoor classrooms.

The guest speaker for the evening was Anna Claire Tuma '16, who attended Webb for seven years and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then attended the US Air Force Academy in Colorado and is currently an Instructor Pilot at the Air Force base in Columbus, MS. The event was co-chaired by Caroline Lampley and Emily Hunton. The rest of the Gala Committee included Carrie Brooke Simmons, Kathie Elfersy, Amy Reeves, Kacy Riley, and Caroline Hulan Smith '98.
