Webb recognizes middle school students with Citizenship Awards

Every month, three middle school students are chosen for Citizenship Awards. Award certificates are presented in chapel along with remarks from Director Mallory Garcia.

The award recipients for September through December are as follows:

The September award recipients were Lily Tennant, Heidi Neel, and Aiden Reeves.

“Lily Tennant is an impressive student who is polite, respectful, and friendly. She celebrates her classmates' accomplishments as well as her own. She is eager to improve herself and to help others if needed. She exemplifies the character traits expected of a Webb student.”

“Heidi Neel is very self-motivated and holds herself to high expectations. She is kind and thoughtful to all those around her, and she is well-respected among her classmates for both her work ethic and the way she treats others. She brings joy to every situation and is a light to those around her.”

“Aiden Reeves is kind and considerate to everyone around him and treats others with great respect. He is thoughtful and shows great determination to succeed, and his teachers have enjoyed watching him grow throughout his years at Webb. He is polite and sets a good example for those around him.”

The October award recipients were Cruz Shepard, Cora Lea, and Malang Na.

“Cruz Shepard brings a positive mindset into every class, effortlessly uplifting those around him with his enthusiasm. Having him in class and witnessing his growth has been a true joy. He is a curious, bright individual with a strong desire to deepen his knowledge across a wide range of subjects. He consistently does positive things on campus like holding doors and being positive and friendly to others.”

“Cora Lea is always willing to help her classmates, whether it’s with homework, on the soccer field, or walking between classes.  She frequently notices others' needs and puts them ahead of hers. She is a kind and giving friend and wants to make a positive difference in her world. She constantly seeks ways to challenge herself and deepen her understanding, embodying the qualities of a true scholar.”

“Malang Nak has made great progress this school year. He is a very respectful young man and is always polite. He is self-motivated and wants to strive to do his best. He consistently offers a helping hand to those around him and demonstrates a deep commitment to personal growth, both in and out of the classroom. He does the right thing when no one is looking, such as picking up after others in the dining hall.”

The November award recipients were Thomas Florida, Avery Blackwell, and Ava Hamilton.

“Thomas is a very responsible, focused student who constantly strives to improve. He has a pleasant personality, is very respectful to adults and classmates, and is willing to help anyone in need. Thomas is an excellent example of a Webb gentleman.”

“Avery has been an outstanding member of our community since the first week of school. She is an extremely conscientious student and loves to learn. While she makes sure her work is always completed, she takes the time to help her classmates and peers if and when they need help. She is very energetic and has involved herself in many activities at the Webb School already in her short time here, and she has made our community better by her presence.”

“Ava is an amazing young lady with a kind heart and gentle spirit. Ava shows responsibility and  respect for others.It is wonderful to celebrate Ava as a dedicated and resilient student. Navigating a new school and culture, she has embraced her journey with courage and determination. Ava's commitment to excellence is a testament to her strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and perseverance.”

The December award recipients were Echo Wilson, Charlotte Ring, and Catherine Myers.

“Echo is polite and kind to her peers. She is responsible, works hard, and always strives to do her best. She has shown tremendous growth during her time at Webb, and it has been a pleasure to see her adapt well to a new school and try new activities over the past year.”

“Charlotte Ring is a thoughtful student who always considers the feelings of others. She goes out of her way to extend a kind hand to other students, even if she doesn't know them. She is always looking for ways to be helpful. She is positive, happy, always smiling, and is an excellent role model to other students.”

“Catherine is a delightful presence in our learning community, consistently demonstrating kindness and helpfulness toward her peers. She readily shares her insights and actively supports others in their learning journey, creating an environment where collaboration flourishes naturally. She maintains a joyful spirit while managing her academic responsibilities — working hard while keeping learning engaging and fun and setting a wonderful example for her classmates.”
