Christopher Enea

This past week Dave Trout began as The Webb School's Director of Communications.

A 29-year veteran of the media industry, Trout brings a wealth of experience to The Webb School’s Communication Department. His background includes radio, podcasting, video production, social media, journalism, filmmaking, album production, and marketing.

“We are so pleased to have Dave join Webb and our Leadership Team,” said Head of School Ken Cheeseman. “Dave has a track record of success over many years. His marketing and communication insights and experiences will make Webb better and help us compete effectively in the myriad of markets throughout the world in which we operate,” continued Cheeseman. “His creativity in strategizing how best to communicate and his operational skills moving from strategy to execution will be a significant value-add to Webb. We are excited to welcome him.”

Trout is a graduate of Wheaton College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communications. He began his broadcasting career while a student at Wheaton and continued over the proceeding years to host local and nationally-syndicated radio programs. He previously served as President of UTR Media, a non-profit organization based in Murfreesboro, TN, where he led all aspects of media operations, fundraising, content creation, marketing, and communications.

“It is an honor and a privilege to join the Webb team,” shared Trout.  “In my brief time on campus thus far, I am overwhelmed with the beauty of nature, the beauty of the people, and the beauty of its history - which is emanating all around.  I’m looking forward to serving the campus and the wider Webb community around the world.”

Trout succeeds Rita Mitchell who retired after having served Webb for 13 years.
