Rising seniors Kalina Thephavong and Carter Lampley were accepted into Youth Leadership Rutherford for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Youth Leadership Rutherford is a unique community experience that selects students across the Rutherford County area who are interested in learning leadership skills during their senior year of high school.

This program allows students to grow personally and professionally by increasing their knowledge of civic education and engaging them in their community. This program focuses on real-world topics and pushes students to become leaders within the context of those issues.

The aim of the program is to open the minds of students to become visionary leaders that understand civic responsibility, civic engagement, and civil discourse.
