Sandy Truitt, who taught math at Webb for 48 years, and Mike Quinn, who began as a science teacher and later became an art teacher serving 23 years, retired at the end of the 2021-2022 school year, and were recently honored for their service.

Recognizing the longtime faculty members, who also served in additional roles during their tenures, both were presented with Webb chairs and keepsake books filled with memories and well wishes from alumni, and former and current faculty and staff by Head of School Ken Cheeseman.

Joe Griggs ’05 served as emcee during Quinn’s celebration, and Raymond Pryor and Kristen Linton ’00 emceed Truitt’s celebration. Numerous colleagues shared memories of years of Truitt and Quinn, lauding them as colleagues, mentors, and friends through the years. Those speaking also shared what their retiring colleagues have meant to them personally in memories that were humorous and poignant, short and long.
