The Webb School is proud to induct 48 students representing 10th-12th grades into the Sawney Chapter of the National Honor Society. New inductees were given certificates and special honors during a recent chapel.
The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921. The Webb NHS chapter was founded in 1974.
Students are required to have completed at least one full year of matriculation at The Webb School and maintain a GPA of at least 85% to be considered for admission to the Sawney Chapter of NHS. Students are evaluated in all four of the NHS pillars by a faculty advisory committee of five full-time staff members of the school. Students selected must maintain these high levels of success for the entirety of their time at the school to retain their membership in NHS.
