From teaching in the classroom to mentoring students in their dormitories and coaching on the athletic fields, each will play an important role in shaping life across the broader Webb community.

Bill McClain
Executive Director of Athletics
Effective July 1, 2026, Bill McClain joined The Webb School community in his new role as executive director of athletics. Bill brings to the Feet a rare combination of independent school leadership, operational excellence in the corporate sector, and a deep passion for Webb Athletics. We are eager to see the impact he will have on developing Webb’s programs and supporting student-athletes in meaningful, lasting ways. Read more about his experience here.
Meet Our New Faculty & Staff
Natalee Gruse
Events and Auxiliary Programs Coordinator
We're delighted to welcome Natalee Gruse as events and auxiliary programs coordinator at The Webb School. Natalee obtained an M.S. in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Albany. She brings extensive experience in event planning, programming, and operations to Webb. This year, Natalee will also serve on the Cooper-Farris Dormitory team and as an assistant varsity volleyball coach for the Feet. Since 2012, Natalee has coached collegiate and high school teams on the East Coast and throughout the South.
Tenisha Lockridge
Middle School Athletic Coordinator and Physical Education Teacher
This academic year, Tenisha Lockridge–Middle School athletic coordinator and physical education teacher–will oversee Middle School athletics while spearheading the implementation of Webb’s new Middle School Physical Education (P.E.) curriculum. Tenisha holds an M.S. in Sports Management from Arkansas State University and a B.S. from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she also played for the women’s basketball team. Certified in both P.E. and health (Early Childhood to Grade 12), Tenisha has worked in Physical Education for nearly a decade. Most recently, she taught wellness and Physical Education classes at Kirkwood High School and coached the school’s varsity girls’ basketball team to the most wins in its program’s history. Under Tenisha’s leadership, we look forward to growing Webb’s own varsity girls’ basketball program. A former 8th- and 9th-grade volleyball coach in her career, she will also serve as the head Middle School volleyball coach at Webb this Fall. Learn more about her varsity coaching experience here.
Beth Masters
Science Faculty
For over 25 years, Beth Masters has shared her enthusiasm for learning, science, and travel with students of all ages—from elementary school children to adult learners. Possessing an “all-in” attitude, Beth’s professional experience extends far beyond the classroom, where she has taught introductory, honors, and Advanced Placement courses in Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and the Interdisciplinary Sciences. Throughout her career in academia, Beth has coached varsity cheerleading, provided learning specialist support, coordinated extended-day services, assisted with curriculum mapping, and oversaw a variety of clubs for students interested in yearbook, ASL, the medical sciences, mindfulness, and outdoor adventures, such as overnight rafting and hiking. She holds an M.Ed. in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University and a B.S. in Health and Education from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). We look forward to seeing the impact Beth will have on the Science Department and the Davis Dormitory team here at Webb.
Michael Masters
Science Faculty and School Chaplain
Michael Masters will serve as a science teacher, our new school chaplain, and a member of the Rand Dormitory team this school year. His impressive public and independent school background includes a wide range of teaching expertise in Advanced Placement, honors, and on-level Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Conceptual Physics, Integrated Physics, and Astronomy courses. He also has experience as a school chaplain, an interim high school director, and a science and engineering department chair. Michael prides himself on fostering academic environments filled with belonging, responsibility, and community. He obtained an M.Ed. from Western Governors University, a teacher certification for Secondary Education in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from the University of Memphis, and a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from MTSU.
Jessica McGuire
Mathematics Faculty
Jessica McGuire comes to Webb with a background teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and 6th-grade math to students at various schools. In addition to her role in The Webb School Mathematics Department this year, Jessica will join the Haynes Hall Dormitory team and coach varsity softball for the Feet. Nicole Puckett
Academic Support Coordinator/Assistive Technology
Nicole Puckett has joined Webb’s Learning Center as the academic support coordinator/assistive technology. The co-founder and U.S. director of Wildflowers International, Nicole’s experience includes recruiting and training teachers in literacy, inclusive pedagogy, neurodiversity, and innovative curriculum development, as well as providing multilingual learning support. She holds a Master of Arts in Education, with a concentration in Advanced Teacher Education, as well as an M.A.E. Certificate in P-12 Literacy from Western Kentucky University. In addition, Nicole earned an M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Multnomah University and completed her undergraduate studies in Social Psychology at Park University.
Yongtong Tan
Fine Arts Faculty
This Fall, we will welcome our new music teacher, Yongtong Tan, to The Webb School and Cooper-Farris Dormitory. A highly skilled pianist and performer with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from The University of Alabama, Yongtong has five years of experience teaching piano to students in both Ohio and her native country, China. She obtained both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in music from Bowling Green State University.
