On July 9, 2025, Webb's 14th Head of School Polly Parker, Ph.D., cordially greeted current and former parents, faculty and staff, students, alumni and friends of The Webb School via email. The following faculty, staff and administrators will be joining Dr. Parker new to The Webb School during the 2025-26 academic year. Emmy holds over 10 years of experience in administration, responsible for directing academic, social-emotional and student life programming at St. George's Independent School in Collierville, Tenn. Also a seasoned volleyball coach, Emmy looks forward to being a part of the leadership team.

Alex has worked in academic administration both in higher education and at the PreK to grade 12 level for 14 years. His background in athletic coaching and recruiting laid the foundation for future success in the field, where he has consistently driven growth in applications and has made notable gains in enrolling the “right fit” students at schools. In addition to his work in enrollment, including six years as director, Alex is an accomplished presenter and consultant who has shared his expertise at national conferences and guided organizations in process efficiency and team development.

Megan holds extensive experience in communications and marketing across the healthcare, academic and nonprofit sectors, including five years as a director in independent schools. Her passions range from photography and feature writing to project management, graphic design, publication coordination and events planning.

Edward Carson

Upper School History Faculty and Department Chair

Advanced Diploma | Alabama Christian Academy, Montgomery, Ala.

Edward, who holds 25 years of experience teaching history, is an accomplished author, presenter and lecturer. Most recently a teacher and dean of residential life and belonging at Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Edward also served as an Advanced Placement history faculty for the College Board from 2003 until 2019. While working for the College Board, Edward delivered specialized seminars and workshops on historical content and topics related to the research and teaching of history, and reviewed the AP exam criteria and grading process.


Tutu Heinonen

Middle School English Faculty

Certificate in IB English (Language A: Literature) | Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education, Atlanta

Studied acting and directing at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, New York City

Tutu has taught for nearly 25 years at both the middle and upper school levels, with subjects ranging from English and reading to language arts and social studies. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys coaching ice skating.


Dr. José Ottonello

José, a professional cellist, comes to The Webb School with extensive experience as an artistic director, conductor and music teacher. A native speaker of Spanish, José is also fluent in English, Italian, Portuguese and French.


Molly Barringer

Middle and Upper School Fine Arts Faculty

B.A. | Music Education and Spanish, Illinois State University, Normal, Ill.

Molly, who served the Webb community as a substitute teacher last academic year, holds over 16 years of experience teaching general music, choir, Spanish and computer science to students in grades Kindergarten through 12. While her primary instruments include piano and vocals, Molly is also skilled at playing the guitar, French horn and hand percussion instruments. Her choral compositions have been performed by schools and community choirs throughout the U.S. and abroad.


Mallorey Garrett

Middle School Fine Arts Faculty

Mallorey has 16 years of experience teaching visual art and art history to learners of all ages and types. In addition, she has served as a set design teacher and coordinator for a variety of after-school theater productions.


Anthony Carlson

Middle and Upper School Math Faculty and Computer Science Instructor

MicroMasters Certificate | Cybersecurity, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y.

B.S. | Psychology, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah

Anthony, a game developer and curriculum designer, has six years of experience teaching software development. In his latest role as an instructor at Monrovia High School in California, Anthony transformed a low-performing course into a national award-winning game development pathway that challenged students to publish their work to the iOS market.


Amberly Hodges

Middle School English Faculty

B.A. | Elementary Education (K-6), Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, Tenn.

Amberly, named the 2023-24 Coffee County Schools District PreK-4 Teacher of the Year, comes to Webb with 12 years of experience in the classroom.

Most recently a social studies teacher at Knowledge Academies in Antioch, Tenn., Jillian is an engaging instructor who applies innovative and creative solutions to develop and implement curricula that meet students’ educational needs.


Rebecca “Becca” Loose

Upper School Math Faculty

Becca is no stranger to the Webb community, having served as the School’s director of leadership annual giving over the past year. She will be taking on a new faculty role in our Upper School Math Department. 


Jennifer “Jenn” Wright

Administration Office Receptionist and Guest Services Specialist

A substitute teacher at The Webb School since 2018, we are excited to welcome Jenn to this full-time role.

 


 

Elizabeth “Libbi” Stejskal, J.D.

Athletic Department - Head Varsity Volleyball Coach

B.S. | Criminal Justice, Criminology, Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Libbi is a Certified Personal Trainer with the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). The owner of Montagne Lifestyle, Libbi comes to Webb with experience as a manager and administrator for athletic training facilities.


Lauren Dorsett

Athletic Department - Assistant Varsity Softball Coach

B.S. | Early Childhood Education and Special Education, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

Over the past 10 years, Lauren has worked as a classroom teacher for students in grades PreK through three, inspiring a love of learning and challenging her pupils to develop the discipline necessary to be successful in school and life. During this time, Lauren also spent seven years as head softball coach at Hixson Middle School. 


Katherine “Kate” Hobbs

Athletic Department - Assistant Middle School Volleyball Coach


B.S. | Psychology (concentration: pre-health), The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (expected May 2026)

Kate comes to Webb with several years of experience developing winning teams and promoting supportive coaching environments for student-athletes ages 12 through 17. Her coaching experience in volleyball includes Rhythm Volleyball Academy in Murfreesboro, Tenn., where she has created practice plans for players with different needs and skill levels on the court, ultimately advancing them to qualifying and regional tournaments.
