January Citizenship Awards presented to three middle school students
Maddy Williams

Every month, three middle school students are chosen for Citizenship Awards. Award certificates are presented in chapel along with remarks from Director Mallory Garcia.

The January award recipients are Easton Gallagher, Jade Phothong, and Kaleb King.

“Easton Gallagher practices kindness and concern for others every day. He is always offering help, sometimes to teachers, but even more often to other students. He helps them carry their books, find things they have lost, and opens doors for them. However, most significantly, when someone seems down or troubled, he asks them what he can do to help. His concern for the wellbeing of others makes him a great citizen.”

“Jade Phothong is an excellent student at Webb. As a new student this year, she has been a light to this campus by being involved in multiple activities on campus and making lots of new friendships. All of her teachers have had nothing but positive things to say about her academic work and compassionate spirit.”

“Kaleb King is a community builder. He is always looking for ways to build Webb up. This means encouraging his friends to try new things, being a leader of a club, helping to organize middle school events, and getting his teammates to wake-up early in the summer to run with the cross country team. Kaleb works hard not only for himself, but for the community of Webb. He is a reliable source for his teachers and classmates, helping out whenever needed."
