Elfersy wins Middle School Spelling Bee
Rita Mitchell

Eighth grader Jackson Elfersy won the MS Spelling Bee on March 20 with seventh grader Jasmine Judge placing second and eighth grader Bratten Cook placing third.  Jackson's winning word was armistice.  The bee took place for two days, March 18 and March 20.  Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 took a qualifying test to participate in the bee.  Mallory Garcia called out the words, and the four senior members of the Honor Council judged the bee: Cooper Medling, London Sullens, Mary Margaret Mayfield, and Jaycie Bateman.
