Allison, Shibayama, Comstock, Voorhes-Fontenot accepted to Tennessee Governor’s Schools

Four Webb students have been accepted to Tennessee Governor’s Schools slated for this summer.

Nick Allison ’25 of Bell Buckle will attend the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts at Middle Tennessee State University June 8-30.

Quinn Shibayama ’25 of Murfreesboro plans to attend the Tennessee Governor’s School for International Studies at University of Memphis June 8-29.

Lane Comstock ’25 of Shelbyville is slated to attend Tennessee Governor’s School for Sciences and Engineering at University of Tennessee Knoxville June 2-29.

Abigail Voorhes-Fontenot ’25 of Shelbyville will attend Tennessee Governor’s School for Integration of Biological and Statistical Sciences at East Tennessee State University May 26-June 28.

The website notes that “The Tennessee Governor's Schools provide eleven challenging and high-intensity programs for rising 11th and 12th grade students nominated by high school faculty. Each school offers a unique learning environment for students interested in the arts, humanities, agriculture science, STEM programs, advanced mathematics, physics, leadership, international studies, Tennessee history, or potential teaching careers.”
