Posted October 29, 2012
Twenty students and their families attended the second annual Middle School Preview event at The Webb School on Oct. 27. The group included families from seven different cities in Tennessee - Bell Buckle, Hendersonville, Manchester, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Shelbyville and Winchester.
Families began their visit with a campus tour given by current Webb students. Visiting students then participated in a rock climbing and pottery activity while their parents attended an academic and extracurricular panel presentation led by Middle School Director, Linda Williams. The event ended with lunch in Grace Follin Dining Hall with middle school faculty and students.
"We were pleased to have such a great turnout for our event," said Julie Harris, director of admissions. The day had great energy, and the students especially enjoyed the art and rock climbing wall activities. Several families expressed that they plan to apply for fall 2013. We are very grateful to our visitors and also our middle school faculty for spending their Saturday with us."
Fall Visitors' Day is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. At this event, visitors will have the opportunity to shadow a Webb student for the day.
