Wilson facilitates panel at conference, Wofford leads workshop, Berzinskas has research published

Lipscomb University recently hosted approximately 100 alumni and development staff from Tennessee independent schools and colleges as part of the 2012 annual conference meeting of TARC — Tennessee Advancement Resource Council. From Webb, Claudia Hazelwood, director of alumni and development, and Matt Wilson, director of annual giving and alumni relations, were in attendance. Wilson, left, facilitated a presentation on best practices for major gift work. Panelists were Matt Sullivan (Lipscomb), Perry Moulds (Vanderbilt University) and Brian Peck (Clemson University).

Brian Wofford, Webb science teacher and Outerlimits Program coordinator, recently was invited to instruct a two-day workshop at Southern Adventist University for graduate students in the Outdoor Teacher Education Master’s Program. The workshop was on adventure-based counseling, team building and safety.

Daiva Berzinskas, Webb English Language Learner teacher, recently had research published in the TNTESOL Journal titled Sustained Silent Reading and Its Impact on Reading Comprehension and Motivation. TNTESOL Journal is published once a year.
