The Webb School boys’ lacrosse team won the Invitational Tournament Division State Championship, versus St. Benedict's of Memphis, 4-0, today. It was the first trip to the state championship for the Webb team.

Dillon Dodson was named Defensive MVP of the game, and Ethan Arnold was named Offensive MVP. Jamison Fee was also selected as Coach of the Year by the Tennessee Scholastic Lacrosse Association.

In the game, played at Father Ryan High School in Nashville, the first three goals were made by Reed Spivey, Ethan Arnold and Jason Bartlett in the second quarter. The final goal by Arnold was in the third quarter.

“This is a great achievement for a growing program,” said Scott Dorsett, Webb director of athletics. “These boys worked extremely hard and put in a lot of time.” Dorsett added that The Feet really fought the odds, noting that they got to the championship after beating Soddy Daisy, a team that had defeated Webb in regular season. “This is a clear sign that we are ready to move to the SCD division next year.”

Dorsett praised Fee for stepping into the head coach’s position, when the previous coach left early in the school year. “Not only did Jamison accept the role, he is doing a tremendous job building a program.” Evidence of his work, Dorsett said, is being selected as Coach of the Year.

Our boys came out, and they wanted to win," said Fee. "They played every minute, and they left nothing on the field." He added. "All the coaches are every proud of them."
