Dorsett elected president of MTAC; named member of YMCA Board

Scott Dorsett, athletic director, recently was elected president of the Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference, a group of 33 schools. Dorsett also recently became a member of the Rutherford County YMCA Board of Directors.
The MTAC is comprised of 23 high schools and 10 middle schools. The conference was formed for small schools that offer at least 22 sports.
“I think we can take this to the next level,” said Dorsett of the conference. “Small schools can feel like they belong and participate year after year.”
As part of his service on the YMCA board, Dorsett will be on the “inspiring youth” focus team.
***** Dorsett will be part of “High School Sports Saturday,” hosted by Tate Mathews on 104.5 The Zone, from 8-9 a.m. on May 19.
