The Webb School is a Cool School, Undeniably

Last Friday morning, the majority of the student body of Webb stumbled out of bed at 4 am to gather in the Dining Hall and prepare for a long and exciting day. Aaron Solomon from Channel 4 news selected the Webb School from all of the schools in Tennessee as one unique enough for a live broadcast! All week, we prepared for him by filming supplements that would air alongside the live broadcast; the choir and strings performed for the cameras, Harley Walker performed a piece from Romeo and Juliet, the honor council talked about our code of honor, and Eliza Claire Neese declaimed for the cameras. All of our performances led up to the big day.
On the day of the live taping, some students volunteered to run tea, coffee, and crepe booths to keep students awake and energized, the cafeteria workers served a hot breakfast, and we had lots of fun games and activities planned; when the cameras rolled, we showed our school spirit through chanting our most popular cheer, having a waffle-eating contest, and showing off our MASSIVE puppet of Sawney Webb, our founder. While it was undeniably a tiring experience, it was also incredibly fun to show our school spirit!
