Middle School graduation and awards ceremony May 18
Middle School students from The Webb School came together for a special ceremony last week that included the presentation of traditional and special awards, a declamation contest and the graduation of the eighth grade class.
This year’s graduation class is comprised of: Ashlyn Lee Avent, Savannah McKenna Bohlen, Alexandra Nikita Coffey, Andrew Chaffin Cooper, Jonathan Christian Crambes, Jennifer Renee Curtis, Julianna Kathryn Curtis, Philip Carmen D’Antonio III, Jonathan Matthew Darling, Dodson, Karley Nicole Dodson, Austin Davis Fiala, Madeline Claire Gallagher, Lattani Adriel Gammada, Bryceton Layne Hadjopoulos, Andrew Allan Harper, Hannah Grace Hastings, Laura Hollis Huber, Emory Ann Hutchens, Ashleigh King, Ethan Michael McNabb, Sarah Beth Menck, Anna Elisabeth Morgan, Jared Grayson Moss, Deion Brandon Nickson, Oladapo Omitowoju, Mitch W. Owens, Hannah Frances Pozzebon, Gavin Segroves, Alexandra Taylor Sharpe, Zoe Madeline Speer, Anna Claire Tuma, Jarrod Andrew Wilson, Robert William Talmadge Windham and Andrew Kenneth Wright.
Austin Fiala was named winner of the declamation contest, after he delivered “The Greatest Generation Commemoration Speech” by Ronald Reagan.
Special awards for middle school award’s night included the following:
The Erin A. Hinkle Memorial Award (selected by the middle school faculty) 6” bowl presented
This award is presented to the eighth grader who by achievement and example has done the most for Webb School.

The John Freeman Memorial Award This award is presented by the family of John Freeman to that persevering student who faced initial academic difficulties at Webb but began to flourish academically and to realize his or her potential.
Anna Kate Curtis – Presented by James Garcia
The Tucker Latin Prize This prize is given by Mr. David Dabney fromVicksburg, Miss., in memory of his middle school Latin teacher Dr. E. B. Tucker. This prize of $100 is given to the Latin I middle schooler with the highest overall average.
Andrew Cooper – Presented by Kelly Northrup
2012 a Better Chance Young Leaders Award This certificate is awarded by the Better Chance Program in recognition of outstanding academic performance, contributions to the school community, and demonstrated leadership abilities.
